Thursday Night Disco

A fun time was had by all, before Movie night.

Group 1 - The Unbeatables

Today we climbed King's How Mountain. At the top of the mountain it was really windy and it overlooked Derwent Lake.

Group 2 - Team Awesome!

Today we had a go on the low ropes course, it was great.

Then we did some orienteering and went to the mine.  We all got some rocks that are the first stage of lead.

Group 3 - The Unstoppable Cool Runnings.

First of all we have changed our name to the Unstoppable Cool Runnings. We climbed a mountain (Whinlatter) and we roly-polyed down a hill!  It was a beautiful walk with amazing views.

The Epic Fours

Today in the morning we went canoeing and got hot chocolate! Then in the afternoon we went on the Death Swing and it was fantastic but a little scary. Next we went on the low ropes course and did a team challenge. It was quite hard.

Today we went Gorge Walking and the water was really icy.  Also we have been on the High Ropes, it was really fun and really high!

Today in the morning we did orienteering. It was awesome!
In the afternoon we went into the forest and got very wet! Thankfully we did have dry things to change into at home. 
We miss you all at home, however we are having a great time!

Group 5 - Name to follow!

Derwent Hill is great, we have had lots of fun.
We have been up the mountain and we went with a dog named Finn. He was cute.
We went into the mines and we found out how they used to work and how different it is now.
We went orienteering and found items around Derwent Hill grounds, it was like an adventure!

Group 3 - Team Unstoppable

Today we did orienteering. We also did the death Swing, it was scary! We did a lot of teamwork today. :-)

Group 2 - Team Awesome!

Derwent Hill has been great so far.  We went on a mountain walk, it was great but really tiring.  We all had fun but we nearly blew away!

Group 1 - The Unbeatables

We did some good teamwork climbing a mountain to get to a mine in a blizzard. Also in our Team Challenge, we supported each other passing pieces of wood to stand on to get each other to the finish line.

Internet problems

Note to parents: the internet access has been intermittent today at Derwent Hill. We will endeavour to find a solution tomorrow.
